Two pounds of split peas, one pound of mild Italian sausage meat, one largish yellow onion, garlic, salt, pepper, garlic powder & onion powder.

Two and a half hours later, pea soup with Italian sausage is divided up into eight single servings, waiting to go into the freezer.

Working on something different, an essay/blog post that looks at influences on my writing. I'm looking to use my blog, On Writing and Such (https://wordboyswords.wordpress.com/), for something more than marking my progress on the various works in progress. The first is titled "The Importance of Friday." It'll look at how Robert A. Heinlein's novels, most especially Friday, shaped the kind of writer I've grown into over the years. With luck, this won't take too long. This is the way.

Found it necessary to back up to Chapter Eight. Apparently, everyone forgot about the two dead crew members. Also, sometimes it's easier to just embrace the info dump...at least, in the first draft. This is the way.
